Chicago Mayor Inciting Fear Over Claims of Civil War

In a recent press conference the Mayor of Chicago, Brandon Johnson falsely claims that the “right wing” in this country want a rematch of the civil war. He says this after President Trump mentioned sending National Guard troops in order to stop the violence that the Mayor seemingly has no interest in stopping. Even the people of Chicago are tired of this man, who at one point had only a 6% approval rating. Some residences going as far as making videos that show them wanting Trump to send in the NG to bring order to the city and protect peoples lives. See video below to see what he recently said.

This comes after Mayor Johnson signed an executive order to establish "ICE-free zones" across the city, aiming to prohibit federal immigration agents from using city-owned or controlled property for civil immigration enforcement operations, but if he knew anything he would understand that he has no authority over federal agents.

The recent order signed by the Mayor attempts to ban U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) from using city-owned properties such as schools, parks, libraries, parking lots, garages, and vacant lots as staging areas, processing locations, or operations bases for civil immigration enforcement. Mayor Johnson stated, "Our school parking lots are not for ICE to load their weapons. They are for Chicago, who drop their kids off to learn," and "Our libraries are not for ICE to prepare for a raid. They're for Chicagoans to read and relax. Our parks are not for ICE to set up checkpoints. They're for Chicagoans to play and enjoy."He framed the order as a defense of civil rights and due process for all Chicagoans, regardless of immigration status, and an assertion of local autonomy.

Although Johnson claims Trump and the so called right wing are causing division in this country, it is obvious that this Mayor and others like him, would rather attack the opposing side than attempt to prevent their own people from dying in the streets week after week.
